Eastern faced Dunbar in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Ramblers lost 42-21 to the Crimson Tide. The Ramblers' defeat signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.

Despite the loss, Eastern still got an impressive performance from William Simmons, who rushed for 119 yards and a pair of TDs while picking up 7.4 yards per carry.

Among those leading the charge was Darius Knight, who rushed for 38 yards and two scores.

Eastern's loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 8-2. As for Dunbar, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-5.
