Northside Falcons HomeSchool came tearing into Tuesday's match with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.4 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against HCYA by a score of 8-5. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 20-3 victory two weeks ago.

Adam Shipp was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching 4.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits. Shipp was also big at the plate, scoring a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

In other batting news, Kaleb Steiger was incredible, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with one home run and two runs.

Northside Falcons HomeSchool's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 19-1-1. As for HCYA, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 13-12.

Northside Falcons HomeSchool and HCYA should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. The Falcons (ranked fifth) will meet Alpha Omega Academy (ranked 291st) at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Northside Falcons HomeSchool 2, the Lions 2.9) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, HCYA will take on Brazosport Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank advantage (398 vs. 1096).
