Volleyball Recap: Galeton Tigers vs. Cowanesque Valley Indians
Galeton lost against Cowanesque Valley last Friday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Galeton Tigers fell just short of the Cowanesque Valley Indians by a score of 3-2. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Galeton wouldn't go down easily and took Cowanesque Valley into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking eight-point loss. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-17, 27-25, 15-25, 15-7.
Even though they lost, Galeton was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 18 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least ten aces in three consecutive contests.
Galeton's loss dropped their record down to 4-16. As for Cowanesque Valley, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-7.
Galeton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Cowanesque Valley, they will head out to take on Williamson at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
