Preview: Summit Tigers vs. Glenwood Springs Demons

Summit is 0-10 against Glenwood Springs since January of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Summit Tigers will look to defend their home court against the Glenwood Springs Demons at 6:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Summit has five straight wins, Glenwood Springs has four straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Last Saturday, Summit didn't have too much trouble with Steamboat Springs at home as they won 44-30.

Among those leading the charge was Kayla Smith, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds. Doussouba Sylla was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with five rebounds and four steals.

Glenwood Springs suffered their biggest loss since December 8, 2023 on Friday. They suffered a tough 51-31 loss at the hands of Palisade.

Summit's victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-7. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.7 points per game. As for Glenwood Springs, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season.

Summit ended up a good deal behind Glenwood Springs in their previous meeting back in January of 2023, losing 44-29. Will Summit have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
