Newnan waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the Callaway Cavaliers by a score of 51-42. That's more bragging rights for the Cougars, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Newnan's win bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Callaway, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Newnan will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Temple at 5:30 p.m. on December 28th. Callaway and St. Anne-Pacelli will compete for holiday cheer at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in St. Anne-Pacelli's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
