Recap: Webster Schroeder Warriors vs. Gates Chili Spartans
Even though the Gates Chili Spartans scored an imposing 61 points on Monday, the Webster Schroeder Warriors still came out on top. Webster Schroeder took their match against Gates Chili 74-61. Given Webster Schroeder's advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 177th, while Gates Chili is ranked 718th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Gates Chili's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jaden Robinson, who scored 13 points. Tremier Lewis was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with six rebounds.
Gates Chili struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only four offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Webster Schroeder's victory bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Gates Chili, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.
Webster Schroeder will head out on the road to face off against Spencerport at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Gates Chili, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Vertus at 7:15 p.m. Vertus has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 287 points over their last five contests.
