Basketball Recap: St. Joseph Takes a Loss

St. Joseph was the 64-39 winner over St. Catherine when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The St. Joseph Lancers took a 72-66 hit to the loss column at the hands of the St. Catherine's Angels.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead St. Catherine's to victory, but perhaps none more so than La'Niyha Hamilton, who went 11 for 14 en route to 24 points and eight rebounds. Those 24 points gave Hamilton a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Laila Collier-White, who almost dropped a double-double on 19 points and nine boards.

St. Joseph's loss dropped their record down to 10-5. As for St. Catherine's, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 11-5.
