Recap: Westchester Comets vs. Hamilton Yankees
The Westchester Comets''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They were dealt a 48-18 defeat at the hands of Hamilton. Westchester was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Hamilton apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2022.
Despite the loss, Westchester still got an impressive performance from Landon Davis, who rushed for 100 yards and a touchdown.
Westchester's loss was their sixth straight at home (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 3-7. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 10.5 points per game. As for Hamilton, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-5.
Westchester will head out on the road to face off against Lincoln at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Hamilton, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against King/Drew at 7:00 p.m.
