Basketball Recap: Summertown Extends Winning Streak to Four

Summertown had won three straight games and Kurt Burleson did his part to make it four on Tuesday. The Summertown Eagles blew past the Spring Hill Raiders 66-40 thanks in part to Burleson, who dropped a double-double on 27 points and 11 boards. The matchup was his fifth in a row with at least ten points.

Another player making a difference was Sawyer Sherman, who posted eight points. He has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last four times he's played.

Summertown is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 40.5 points. As for Spring Hill, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Summertown will take on Creek Wood in a holiday battle at at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Spring Hill and Pulaski County will compete for holiday cheer at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday.
