Baseball Recap: South Oak Cliff Beats Adamson for Their Third Straight Win

South Oak Cliff lost to Adamson back in April of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Wednesday. South Oak Cliff put the hurt on Adamson with a sharp 11-1 win. Considering the Bears have won ten matches by more than six runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Matthew Rodriguez made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He pitched six innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in February.

In other batting news, Rinaldo Marquez was excellent, scoring three runs while going 2-for-4. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of King Hatley, who scored a run while going 3-for-4.

The victory was the third in a row for South Oak Cliff, bringing their record up to 14-3. As for Adamson, they dropped their record down to 6-11-1 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: South Oak Cliff beat Adamson by a score of 7-0 on Friday.
