Softball Recap: Lorena Comes Up Short

Lorena came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 8-1 to the China Spring Cougars. The Leopards were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cougars apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2021.

Lorena saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jaylie Werner, who went 2-for-3 with one double.

Lorena's defeat dropped their record down to 13-6. As for China Spring, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-7.

While Lorena had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
