Volleyball Recap: Balboa Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

It's playoff time, and Balboa had no trouble coming through when it counted. They had just enough and edged out the Lowell Cardinals 3-2. The victory was nothing new for the Buccaneers as they're now sitting on three straight.

Balboa had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 16-25, 17-25, 25-19, 25-21, 15-13.

Balboa's win on Wednesday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Daniel Hu, who had 29 digs. Those 29 digs gave Hu a new career-high. Edward Chen also deserves some recognition as he had his first digs of the season.

Balboa's win bumped their record up to 22-13. As for Lowell, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 18-14.

Balboa wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Lincoln on the 16th. Lowell does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
