Softball Recap: Potomac School's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Monday

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Potomac School can now relate to. They lost 8-1 to Paul VI on Monday. Potomac School was red-hot at the plate heading into the match (they scored no less than ten runs in the six contests prior), but Paul VI's pitcher proved too tough.

Potomac School saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alexis Vaughan, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Potomac School moved to 13-4 with that loss, which also ended their six-game winning streak. As for Paul VI, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-12 record this season.

Potomac School does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Paul VI, they will face off against Bishop O'Connell at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Knights will roll in looking for their 19th straight win, something the Panthers surely won't give up without a fight.
