Basketball Game Preview: Regis Rams vs. Kennedy Trojans

Regis and Kennedy are an even 5-5 against one another since March of 2016, but not for long. The Regis Rams will challenge the Kennedy Trojans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Regis knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 11 matchups -- so hopefully Kennedy likes a good challenge.

Last Tuesday, Regis came up short against Crane and fell 68-56. The game marked the Rams' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Meanwhile, Kennedy entered their tilt with Monroe on Tuesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Dragons 64-28. The Trojans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matches by 26 points or more this season.

Kennedy has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.8 points per game. As for Regis, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-4.

Regis strolled past Kennedy in their previous meeting back in February of 2024 by a score of 78-63. The rematch might be a little tougher for Regis since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
