Basketball Recap: Louisa-Muscatine Sets Scoring Season-High Against Pekin

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Louisa-Muscatine). They walked away with a 49-37 victory over the Pekin Panthers on Tuesday. This was a revenge game for the Falcons: when they faced off against the Panthers back in December of 2024, they had to take a 51-32 loss.

Louisa-Muscatine's win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-10. As for Pekin, they dropped their record down to 7-8 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Louisa-Muscatine will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Mediapolis at 6:00 p.m. Mediapolis' defense has only allowed 29.1 points per game this season, so Louisa-Muscatine's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Pekin, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the Pekin Panthers challenge the Lone Tree Lions at 6:00 a.m. on Friday.
