Football Recap: Skyline Falls Short Against Ranked Bellevue + How To Watch

Skyline faced Bellevue in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Spartans and the Wolverines were almost perfectly matched up, but the Spartans suffered a 21-20 defeat. The Spartans haven't had much luck with the Wolverines recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Despite the loss, Skyline had strong showings from Luke Morgan, who picked up 94 receiving yards and a pair of scores, and Crew Ericson, who punched in one rushing score.

Max Jones was nothing short of spectacular for Bellevue: he rushed for 153 yards and two TDs.

Skyline's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 4-2. As for Bellevue, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season.

Skyline has already played their next contest, a 49-14 win against Woodinville on the 17th. As for Bellevue, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 42-24 victory against Eastlake on the 18th.
