Basketball Recap: Chester's Loss Ends Three-Game Winning Streak at Home

Chester lost against Carlyle back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Chester Yellowjackets fell to the Carlyle Indians/Lady Indians 45-40. While losing is never fun, the Yellowjackets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 314th, while the Indians/Lady Indians are ranked 83rd).

Chester's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-13. As for Carlyle, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 20-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Chester will take on Red Bud at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Carlyle has already played their next game (against Wesclin), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
