Softball Recap: Cedar Valley Comes Up Short

Cedar Valley and Springville squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Cedar Valley had to settle for second. They came up short against the Red Devils, falling 16-6. The Aviators haven't had much luck with the Red Devils recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Eva Okusi made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run and three RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Ellie Leatham, who went 1-for-3 with one home run.

Cedar Valley's loss dropped their record down to 17-13. As for Springville, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-6 record this season.

While Cedar Valley had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
