After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy, Edgewood was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Melbourne Central Catholic Hustlers as they made off with a 3-0 win. That's more bragging rights for the Red Wolves, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Edgewood walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the second set). The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-12, 25-17.

Anna Ely paced Edgewood's offense, picking up 17 kills. Ely got some help from Debbie Walley and her 28 assists. Macy Ferguson controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Melbourne Central Catholic's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Emma Martin, who had 18 digs and three aces, and Sara Otero, who had eight assists and five digs.

Edgewood's record is now 3-1. As for Melbourne Central Catholic, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Coming up, Edgewood will face off against Cocoa Beach at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Melbourne Central Catholic, they will square off against Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Tigers will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Hustlers surely won't give up without a fight.
