Baseball Recap: Anderson Prep Academy Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Anderson Prep Academy had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 13-1 margin over the Purdue Broad Ripple Lynx. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Jets as it put an end to their six-game losing streak.

Teagan Baker spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on two hits and racked up six Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Conner Ring, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in May of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Lincoln Fathauer, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

Anderson Prep Academy's victory bumped their record up to 2-15. As for Purdue Broad Ripple, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-9 record this season.

Anderson Prep Academy will square off against Indiana School for the Deaf at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Purdue Broad Ripple does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
