Volleyball Recap: Western Reserve Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Western Reserve, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They came out on top against the New London Wildcats by a score of 3-1 on Thursday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Roughriders also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

Western Reserve was especially dominant in the first set. The final score came out to 25-11, 25-19, 24-26, 25-18.

Emma Hammond paced Western Reserve's offense, picking up 16 kills. Hammond got some help from Jamie Muenz and her 42 assists. Estella Blake controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Western Reserve now has a winning record of 4-3. As for New London, they dropped their record down to 3-4 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.
