On the hitting side, Sophia Leyden was excellent, scoring a run while going 3-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Lily Parikh, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI.
Meanwhile, it was close, but on Thursday San Ramon Valley sidestepped Carondelet for a 4-3 victory.
Monte Vista's win bumped their record up to 3-4. As for San Ramon Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.
