Volleyball Game Preview: Horizon Hawks vs. Pueblo West Cyclones

After both having extra time off, the Horizon Hawks and the Pueblo West Cyclones will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Having struggled with four defeats in a row, Horizon turned things around against Fairview on Saturday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Knights.

The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-23, 22-25, 25-17.

Meanwhile, Pueblo West was able to grind out a solid victory over Castle View on Saturday, taking the game 2-0. The Cyclones haven't had any issues with the Sabercats recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Horizon better focus on containing Bricelyn Baudino and Jillian Millirons as the pair were huge in Pueblo West's win. Baudino had six digs and three assists, while Millirons had four digs.

Pueblo West's victory bumped their record up to 20-3. As for Horizon, their win bumped their record up to 13-10.

Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Saturday's match: Horizon has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 11.3 aces per game.
