Football Recap: Forsan Buffaloes vs. Wink Wildcats

Forsan came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They had to suffer through a 48-14 loss at the hands of the Wink Wildcats. The Buffaloes were not able to make up for their loss to the Wildcats from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

Although Forsan took the loss, they still got scores from Owen Bishop and Oscar Holguin.

Wink got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Kemyd Faciane out in front who rushed for 209 yards and two scores while picking up 10.5 yards per carry. Faciane's longest rush was for an incredible 74 yards. Another passer making a difference was Gunner Voyles, who threw for 175 yards and three TDs while completing 81% of his passes.

Forsan's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Wink, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Forsan will venture away from home to face off against Ropes at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Wink, they will head out to challenge Coahoma at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs' defense has only allowed 5.8 points per game this season, so the Wildcats' offense will have their work cut out for them.
