Volleyball Game Preview: Norris Titans vs. Elkhorn North Wolves

The Norris Titans will face off against the Elkhorn North Wolves at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Norris comes in on six and Elkhorn North on ten.

Norris is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They came out on top against Waverly by a score of 3-1.

Norris' win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Makinley Ramsey, who had 12 digs. Those 12 digs gave Ramsey a new career-high.

Meanwhile, Elkhorn North faced Skutt Catholic in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Wolves came out on top in a nail-biter against the SkyHawks, sneaking past 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Wolves have posted since September 30th.

Norris better focus on containing Reese Wallraff and Millie Mauch as the pair were huge in Elkhorn North's win. Wallraff had 25 digs and four assists, while Mauch had 14 digs and two assists.

Elkhorn North's win bumped their record up to 30-6. As for Norris, their victory bumped their record up to 37-1.

Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Saturday's contest: Norris has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 8.4 aces per game. However, it's not like Elkhorn North struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.

Norris suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Elkhorn North when the teams last played back in October. Can the Titans avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
