Basketball Recap: Celebration Skates Past Windermere with Ease

Celebration's game back in December of 2024 was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They blew past the Windermere Wolverines, posting a 56-28 victory. That 28 point margin sets a new team best for the Storm this season.

Celebration was led to victory by Evelyn Juden and Emma Zukowski. Juden almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine rebounds, while Zukowski went 9 of 14 on her way to 22 points in addition to five boards and three steals. Juden is on a roll when it comes to boards, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last 11 games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ella Kolaric, who posted six points and six rebounds.

The win got Celebration back to even at 6-6. As for Windermere, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-10 record this season.

Celebration will face off against City of Life Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Windermere, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 44-24 loss against Evans on the 7th.
