Volleyball Recap: Cedar Valley Gets the Win

Cedar Valley picked up another tournament win on Saturday. They came out on top against the Waterford Ravens by a score of 2-0.

Cedar Valley can attribute much of their success to Ashley Gagnier, who had 15 digs and one assist. With that strong performance, Gagnier is now averaging an impressive 10.7 digs per game. Natalie Karno also deserves some recognition as she served her first aces of the season.

Cedar Valley was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 14 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in October of 2024.

The win got Cedar Valley back to even at 4-4. As for Waterford, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-6.

Looking ahead, Cedar Valley will face off against Lehi at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Pioneers will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Aviators surely won't give up without a fight. As for Waterford, they will head out to square off against St. Joseph at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
