Basketball Recap: Triopia/Meredosia-Chambersburg/Virginia Comes Up Short

Triopia/Meredosia-Chambersburg/Virginia was the 48-38 winner over Griggsville-Perry when they last played one another on February 1st, but their luck changed this time around. The Triopia/Meredosia-Chambersburg/Virginia Trojans fell 40-33 to the Griggsville-Perry Tornadoes on Tuesday.

Garrett Woodward had an outrageously good game for Griggsville-Perry as he went 7-for-11 en route to 19 points along with six rebounds and six steals. Woodward continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Brody Rush, who went 5-for-7 on his way to 14 points.

Triopia/Meredosia-Chambersburg/Virginia has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 15-14 record this season. As for Griggsville-Perry, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 13-17.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Triopia/Meredosia-Chambersburg/Virginia will square off against South County at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. South County will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Triopia/Meredosia-Chambersburg/Virginia surely won't give up without a fight. As for Griggsville-Perry, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Calhoun at 7:30 p.m.
