Baseball Recap: Curlew Takes a Loss

Curlew was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 9-8 heartbreaker at the hands of the Oroville Hornets. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Hornets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 17-2 on Saturday.

Curlew's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. Oroville has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Curlew Cougars face off against Cusick Panthers at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Oroville, they will face off against Odessa at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
