Football Recap: Academy for Innovative Education Takes a Loss

Academy for Innovative Education fell victim to Edison and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They were outmatched by the Edison Red Raiders and fell 47-0. If the Aviators were looking for revenge after losing 58-0 to the Red Raiders when the teams met back in April of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Kaylee Monteagudo threw for 55 yards on seven of 12 attempts.

It was another big night for Rakyia Louis, who threw for 266 yards and six touchdowns while completing 82.4% of her passes for Edison. Louis is crushing it when it comes to passing touchdowns: she's passed for at least three every time she's taken the field this season.

Academy for Innovative Education now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Edison, the win keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Looking ahead, Academy for Innovative Education will take on Archbishop Carroll at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Academy for Innovative Education's offense hasn't had much luck over their past three contests, but Thursday's matchup will give them a chance to turn things around. As for Edison, they will face off against Miami at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Edison is facing Miami at the right time seeing as Miami is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
