Basketball Recap: Edgerton's Victory on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Five

Edgerton waltzed into their game on Friday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They came within four points of losing the streak, but they secured a 55-51 W against the Westbrook-Walnut Grove Chargers. This was a revenge game for the Flying Dutchmen: when they faced off against the Chargers back in January, they had to take a 59-40 loss.

Edgerton pushed their record up to 12-12 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.7 points over those games. As for Westbrook-Walnut Grove, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-6.

Looking ahead, Edgerton will challenge Madelia at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Edgerton has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 179 points over their last three matches.
