It was a good run, but Greer unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-match winning streak on Saturday. They fell 2-0 to the Catawba Ridge Copperheads.

Damiah Polk paced Greer's offense, picking up five kills. Polk were helped by Ivey Tapp and Miriam Onofre, who contributed five assists each.

Greer's defeat dropped their record down to 17-6. As for Catawba Ridge, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 14 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-6-1 record this season.

Greer wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Travelers Rest on the 30th. As for Catawba Ridge, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Wren on the 27th.
