Volleyball Recap: Plainfield East Comes Up Short

Plainfield East was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Belleville West Maroons.

Kyra Jordan paced Plainfield East's offense, picking up four kills. Jordan got some help from Alaina Nino and her seven assists. Finally, Sydney Myers kept Plainfield East's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.

Plainfield East's loss dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Belleville West, with the victory, they broke their five-match losing streak and moved their record to 9-13.

Plainfield East has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against MICDS on the 4th. As for Belleville West, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Quincy on the 4th.
