Baseball Recap: Waterloo West Comes Up Short

Waterloo West was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They came up short against the Linn-Mar Lions, falling 9-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-0 on Thursday.

Waterloo West's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Linn-Mar, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-4.

Waterloo West wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 12-1 loss against Cedar Falls on the 30th. As for Linn-Mar, they have also already played their next match, a 5-0 defeat against Pleasant Valley on the 30th.
