             The Camas Papermakers will square off against the Monroe Bearcats at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Monroe took a loss in their last  game and will be looking to turn the tables on Camas, who comes in off a win.
Camas is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another  highly-ranked state team: Coeur d'Alene, who was ranked 16th  in their home state at the time (Camas was ranked tenth). The Papermakers enjoyed a cozy  26-7 win over the Vikings on Friday. The Papermakers haven't had any issues with the Vikings recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive  victory against them.
 Camas' win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Tyson Ruggiero, who threw for 121 yards and two  touchdowns, and also rushed for 39 yards and one  TD. The Papermakers' leading receiver  Charlie Barr was  Ruggiero's top target yet again, picking up 88 receiving yards and a pair of  scores.
Meanwhile, Monroe was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight  defeat  dating back to last season. They had to suffer through  a    48-7 loss at the hands of Mountlake Terrace. The  contest marked the Bearcats' lowest-scoring  matchup so far this season.
 Camas will have to contain  Chris Britt as he made an impact in Monroe's last game. He threw for 132 yards and one  TD, and also rushed for 70 yards.
 Monroe's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Camas, they now  have a winning record of 3-2.
 Everything came up roses for Camas against Monroe when the teams last played  back in October of 2024, as the  squad secured  a  49-14 victory. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was the Bearcats'  Aaron Clifton, who picked up 173 receiving yards, and also punched in one  touchdown on the ground. Now that he won't be playing  on Friday, will it be easier for the Papermakers to walk away with another win? There's only one way to find out.
