Volleyball Recap: Eastern Alamance Gets the Win + How To Watch

After losing to Riverside-Durham the last time they met, Eastern Alamance decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Eagles walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Pirates on Wednesday.

The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-15, 21-25, 25-14.

Morgan Beckham paced Eastern Alamance's offense, picking up nine kills. Beckham got some help from Hannah Batista and her 15 assists. Finally, Brylea Warren kept Eastern Alamance's defense grounded, leading the team with four blocks.

Despite the defeat, Riverside-Durham had strong showings from Nureen Khan, who had 20 digs and five assists, and Liesl Rehder, who had eight digs and four aces.

The win got Eastern Alamance back to even at 4-4. As for Riverside-Durham, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-2.

Eastern Alamance wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Western Alamance on the 4th. As for Riverside-Durham, they have also already played their next game, a 3-1 loss against Sanderson on the 4th.
