Baseball Recap: Chapman Comes Up Short

Chapman lost against Clay Center on Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Irish came up short against the Tigers, falling 9-2. The Irish have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Chapman saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cooper Lewis, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases.

Chapman's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Clay Center, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-2.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Chapman will square off against rival Marysville at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Clay Center is set to challenge their familiar foe Wamego on Monday.
