Basketball Recap: Eau Claire's Winning Streak Snapped at Four Games

It was a good run, but Eau Claire unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They lost 70-49 to the Michigan Lutheran Titans. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Titans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 59-28 back in January.

Michigan Lutheran was led to victory by Micah Herbst and Isaiah Howe. Herbst posted ten points in addition to eight assists and three steals, while Howe went 7-for-13 on his way to 17 points and eight boards. Howe is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 45% in the last 15 games he's played. Ty Johnson was another key player, putting up 15 points.

Eau Claire's loss dropped their record down to 8-13. As for Michigan Lutheran, they pushed their record up to 17-5 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home.

Coincidentally, Eau Claire and Michigan Lutheran will both be playing Our Lady of the Lake Catholic the next time they take the court. Eau Claire will head out to face Our Lady of the Lake Catholic at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, while Michigan Lutheran will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
