Volleyball Recap: Herscher Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Herscher challenged Lisle on Monday. The Tigers fell just short of the Lions by a score of 2-1. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Herscher started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 20-25, 25-23, 25-17.

Lisle found their leader in sophomore Lilliana Rocha, who had 12 digs and three assists.

Herscher's defeat dropped their record down to 7-26. As for Lisle, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 16-17 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Herscher will take on rival Peotone at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Lisle is set to square off against their familiar foe Reed-Custer at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
