Volleyball Recap: East Lansing Comes Up Short

East Lansing was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Fowler Eagles. The Trojans were not able to make up for their defeat to the Eagles from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Ari Johnson paced East Lansing's offense, picking up 11 kills. Johnson got some help from Kennedy Thomas and her 12 assists. Sole Flores-Woods controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

East Lansing's loss dropped their record down to 10-12-1. As for Fowler, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 16-5-1.

Coming up, East Lansing will square off against Waverly at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Fowler, they have already played their next match, a 2-1 victory against St. Johns on the 4th.
