Recap: Hill-Murray Pioneers vs. Tartan Titans

The Hill-Murray Pioneers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They blew past Tartan, posting a 82-54 win on the road. Hill-Murray has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 25 points or more this season.

Several Titans players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Cadence Vu, who scored 25 points along with five assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Vu has scored all season. Angelina Funches was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.

Even though they lost, Tartan smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. This was only their 11th loss (out of 14 games) when they hit their own glass that hard.

Hill-Murray now has a winning record of 11-10. As for Tartan, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-16.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hill-Murray will take on Simley at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Hill-Murray is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Simley in Minnesota (Hill-Murray is ranked 124th, while Simley is ranked 327th). As for Tartan, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Mahtomedi at 7:00 p.m. Mahtomedi knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past 12 matches -- so hopefully Tartan likes a good challenge.
