It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Marshfield had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They blew past the Superior Spartans 3-0. The win continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Spartans: they've now won five in a row.

Among those leading the charge was Calyn Ziembo, who had 14 digs and three assists. She has been hot recently, having posted ten or more digs the last four times she's played.

Despite the loss, Superior still got an impressive performance from Anna Matthias, who had four digs and three aces.

Marshfield's victory bumped their record up to 26-14. As for Superior, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-19 record this season.

Marshfield will head out on the road to challenge Stevens Point at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Superior does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
