Basketball Game Preview: Illini Bluffs Tigers vs. Brimfield Indians

The Illini Bluffs Tigers will take on the Brimfield Indians in a tournament on Thursday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Tuesday, Illini Bluffs earned a 60-47 win over Peoria Heights. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 262nd, while the Patriots are ranked 577th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Brimfield didn't have too much trouble with Cuba/Spoon River Valley on Tuesday as they won 47-30.

Illini Bluffs' victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-4. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.0 points per game. As for Brimfield, their record is now 12-6.

Illini Bluffs was able to grind out a solid win over Brimfield when the teams last played back in January of 2024, winning 50-38. Does Illini Bluffs have another victory up their sleeve, or will Brimfield turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
