Baseball Recap: Ocoee Comes Up Short

Ocoee extended their losing streak to three on Monday, dropping them down to 2-4. They came up short against the West Orange Warriors, falling 15-8. If the Knights were looking for revenge after losing 10-0 to the Warriors when the teams met back in March of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Bobby Judd was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he pitched five innings while giving up just two earned (and four unearned) runs off four hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Adrian Rojos was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double. That double was his first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Serico Allen, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one run and one RBI.

As for West Orange, their record is now 4-2. The high-scoring effort was just what they needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.

On West Orange's side, AJ Zimmerman looked comfortable as he pitched four innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off five hits.

On the hitting side, Miguel Acosta was a standout: he went 4-for-5 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March of 2025. Angel Martinez was another key player, getting on base in all five of his plate appearances with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ocoee will be taking part in a tournament against Brewer at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for West Orange, they will host Apopka at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
