Football Recap: Massanutten Military Academy Takes a Loss

Massanutten Military Academy scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They were beaten by the Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot Knights 76-12. If the Colonels were looking for revenge after losing 49-0 to the Knights when the teams met back in September of 2019, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Heath Case, who rushed for 123 yards and three TDs on only six carries. Case's longest rush was for an impressive 51 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total. The team also got some help courtesy of Brian Bodman, who rushed for 42 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Massanutten Military Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-1.

Looking ahead, Massanutten Military Academy will head out on the road to take on Quantico at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot, they will welcome Brunswick Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
