Softball Recap: General McLane Comes Up Short

Meadville hit General McLane with a five-run third inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Lancers lost 12-3 to the Bulldogs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Lancers of the 12-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Riley Lorah was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two RBI and one double. That double marked the first that she has hit this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Tori Reynolds, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with two runs.

General McLane's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Meadville, the victory snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 2-4 record.

Coincidentally, General McLane and Meadville will both be playing McDowell the next time they take the field. The Bulldogs will host the Trojans at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Lancers will host them at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
