Baseball Recap: Mount Abram Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Victory

Mount Abram put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against the Mountain Valley Falcons by a score of 7-2. This was payback for the Roadrunners, who suffered a 5-4 loss the last time these two teams met.

Bryce Wilcox made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits over six innings pitched. What's more, he posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in May of 2024. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Ash Rollins was excellent, earning two runs and two stolen bases. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Brennan Mitchell also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

Mount Abram's record is now 4-0. As for Mountain Valley, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Looking ahead, Mount Abram will face off against Mt. Blue at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Mountain Valley, they will challenge St. Dominic at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
