Basketball Recap: Jorden Williams' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Chesapeake over Loch Raven

After flying high against National Academy Foundation last Monday, Chesapeake came back down to earth. The Chesapeake Bay Hawks took a 67-57 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Loch Raven Raiders on Thursday. The Bay Hawks have struggled against the Raiders recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Chesapeake lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Jorden Williams, who posted 14 points. Another player making a difference was Bishop Brown, who earned 13 points.

Chesapeake's loss dropped their record down to 8-12. As for Loch Raven, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matches, which provided a massive bump to their 12-6 record this season.

Coming up, Chesapeake won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Dundalk at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Loch Raven has already played their next contest (against Perry Hall), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
