Aquinas is 8-2 against Ontario Christian since May of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Falcons are taking a road trip to challenge the Knights at 3:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Aquinas has five straight wins, Ontario Christian has four straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
It was a Battle of the Birds when Aquinas took on Arrowhead Christian on Thursday. The Falcons were the clear victors by a 13-3 margin over the Eagles. Considering the Falcons have won eight games by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Aquinas got a great performance from Hayden Vanderhoof as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out nine over five innings pitched. Those nine strikeouts gave Vanderhoof a new career-high.
On the hitting side, Jacob Bitonti was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March. Chase Davidson was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one run and one RBI.
Aquinas always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .630. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Ontario Christian didn't have quite enough to beat Linfield Christian on Thursday and fell 4-3.
Ontario Christian saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ashton Ramos, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. The Knights are 2-1 when Ramos posts three or more RBI, but 3-16 otherwise.
Aquinas pushed their record up to 20-2 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.1 runs over those games. As for Ontario Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 5-17.
Ontario Christian's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Aquinas has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .478. It's a different story for Ontario Christian, though, as they've only averaged .350. Will they be able to contain Aquinas' hitters?
Everything went Aquinas' way against Ontario Christian in their previous matchup back in March, as Aquinas made off with a 13-3 victory. Do the Falcons have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Knights turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
