Baseball Recap: College Park Falcons vs. Granada Matadors
After flying high against San Ramon Valley last Tuesday, College Park came back down to earth. The College Park Falcons fell just short of the Granada Matadors by a score of 4-2 on Thursday. The Falcons haven't had much luck with the Matadors recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.
College Park got a good showing from James Voorhies, who pitched four innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits.
On the hitting side, Vincent 'Tino' Vasell made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 2-for-3. He also put up a double, which was his first of the season.
College Park's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Granada, they pushed their record up to 2-1 with the win, which was their 19th straight on the road dating back to last season.
Coming up, College Park will square off against Monte Vista at 4:00 p.m. on March 14th. As for Granada, they will challenge Cardinal Newman at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
